Confirm the Exact Model and Package

The title identifies a UV-5R, while the supplied details reference a 5RX model and features that may differ from a standard UV-5R. Confirm the model printed on the radio, its manual, supported bands, charging method, and programming-software compatibility before purchase.

The supplier describes standard and extended antennas, earpieces, a programming cable, and charging accessories, but package quantities and battery information are inconsistent. Confirm the number of radios and exact included accessories with the supplier rather than assuming this is a two-radio kit.

Responsible Operation

Check applicable radio-service rules, licensing requirements, and the exact equipment authorization before transmitting. Programmable frequencies or a frequency-copy feature do not grant permission to use a channel. Do not assume this radio is approved for FRS, GMRS, business, public-safety, or aviation transmission. Aviation reception, if supported, is a listening feature.

Range, Privacy, and Care

Communication range depends on terrain, buildings, antennas, interference, and the other station. No fixed distance, all-day runtime, or emergency contact is guaranteed. An earpiece can limit nearby listening to the speaker but does not encrypt over-the-air transmissions.

The listing identifies this radio as not water-resistant. Keep it dry and follow the actual model's instructions for charging, battery care, and antenna use. Do not rely on it as your only emergency communication method.
